The Economic and Health Benefits for Wisconsin of 100% In-State Energy Production

Wisconsin has a current (2016) energy spending deficit of $14.4 billion ($14.4 billion in expenditures leaves the state). With no substantial in-state fossil fuel resources, reliance on fossil fuels is hurting the Wisconsin economy. Transitioning to in-state energy resources would bring dollars and jobs back to the state of Wisconsin.

This report, by the University of Wisconsin – Madison, that shows Wisconsin can obtain its power from in-state clean energy... and in so doing, generate 162,000 jobs, increase state GDP by $13 billion and avoid $21 billion in health/mortality costs.
