Michigan Clinicians for Climate Action (MiCCA) is a coalition of Michigan health professionals focused on mitigation and prevention of adverse health effects of climate change through educating, empowering, and engaging health professionals, the general public, and policy makers.
We do this by:
Educating the health care sector, policymakers, and the public about the health impacts of climate change,
Empowering clinicians to advocate for climate smart policies on local, state, and federal levels and become community leaders on climate change,
Engaging clinicians and health care systems to prepare for and mitigate potential climate impacts to improve resiliency, energy efficiency, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in an equitable and economical manner.
