Atlantic Health is the 2nd NJ system (along with Hackensack Meridian Health) to join the Health Care Climate Challenge. When joining the challenge, health care systems pledge to reduce their carbon footprints, prepare for the impacts of climate change, and lead the way to a low-carbon future.
The NJ Board of Public Utilities recently made a record-breaking award of 2,658 MW to develop offshore wind off the coast of New Jersey. Besides lowering carbon pollution, NJ's major trade unions noted that these projects will put thousands of New Jerseyans to work.
