Take Action

Our Letter to Governor Murphy and Senior Lawmakers

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
Martin Luther King

Over 300 medical and public health professional across New Jersey called on the Governor, Commissioner of Health, and Legislative leaders to address climate change by adopting a comprehensive approach to our transportation sector that will reduce vehicle emissions & climate pollutants to address the public health crisis from air pollution and climate change. Specifically, we urged the implementation of the electric school bus legislation, a swift adoption of the Advanced Clean Cars II standards this calendar year, dedicate increasing funding to achieve NJ Transit's electric bus mandates, use federal transportation to reduce health inequities from air pollution, expand our air monitoring and reporting system and develop and adopt a regional approach to our transportation challenges.

Read this letter asking Governor Murphy and the legislature to take 6 major actions that will drive New Jersey’s transportation tailpipe pollution down.
